Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been since her age of nine. This skill helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues across the border of Mexico and Texas. border, she was an anchor on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5pm, then an anchor for the news channel in English at 9 pm and after which she became a news anchor until 10pm, before returning on the Spanish channel. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family moved into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. After a short time, her father separated from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. The couple stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was offered the opportunity of a job. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she thought her future would be, visited Mount Union University in order to find out if the school suited her. It turned out that she liked the campus, and the university had the program she desired. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and enrolled into media school at the university. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. The professor encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
